Adding a new line to account. Which phone should I get?

I will soon be adding a third line to my Verizon account. I currently own a Droid 2(which is great). My fiancee owns an LG Ally and we're not overly impressed. The plan is to give my fiancee my D2, give her daughter the Ally, and I will be getting a new phone. My question is, which Verizon phone should I get? I'm new to smartphones overall, but learning quickly. I've had my D2 for nearly a month and have Rooted, OCed, and tried various ROMs. It's become an obsession of sorts. I'd like something that is supported by a large community but more importantly is a great device. What are some opinions on the best handsets Verizon has to offer?

DROIDX for now has the BEST of all worlds ! till its time R.I.P ! as the daul processor phones come out in 2011 . LG is starting to catch up with its LG B for 2011

Heh, I'm leaning that way, and wasn't sure where would be a good place to ask such a question. I chose the 2 over the X originally because I thought I'd want/need the keyboard. Any problems with the X or regrets?

+1 to this, Ill never buy a phone that doesn't have this size of a screen.

I have no regrets with my purchase of the x :)

Yeah, I should've chosen the X to start with. Another question...The 2 and the X have the locked bootloader. I'm not entirely sure what this means for developers, but I know some new phones aren't locked in such a way. Is this hurting development for Droid X?

I have used a D1, D2, every type of Blackberry and the X is the best I have ever had. I have also played with the IPhone and let my friend run it through its paces and wasn't impressed. He is now wanting an X and he has owned and used an iphone since the first one came out.

My only regret is that the screen isn't larger lol. Had a D1 and D2, now on the X, now looking at the others, they look sooo tiny!

The screen size on the x is very addicting. IMO the lack of a physical keyboard is a non issue....
