Add apps to droid via Computer?

Would it be possible, to save my pageplus data, to go ahead and download apps that are OFFICIAL online and then put them onto my droid via the computer?

As long as you have a file manager you can install apps without the market. Astro file manager works great. Just remember to turn on the "unknown sources" option in your phones settings first.
