Has it always been where you cant go on the internet or do other apps that require 3g while talking on the phone. I was on the phone other day and i was trying to look up something but obviously couldnt. Any way you can change that?

With Verizon it is, yes. It is a property of the CDMA radio. It can only do one at a time. I believe the Thunderbolt added another radio to alleviate this but this comes with its own problems issues like battery life and physical size of the phone.

If you are using a 3G phone you can't talk and use the web unless you are on a wifi network. If you upgrades to a 4G phone ltd will let you talk and surf at the same time

Dam guess ill have to wait a year and a half for a 4g phone so I can do that, only real difference between this and the bionic in 4g, screen size, and keyboard

it is CDMA technology limitation. If you use D3 on WCDMA (UTMS) you will be able to surf and talk simultaneously without WiFi.

If that feature is that important to you then give the groove ip app from the market a try. For those times when I want to use the internet while I'm on the phone its what I use. I must say it does come in handy at times. The sound quality isn't too bad either imo.

I can do the same thing for free with tango and I already got that

The diffference is that with with groove ip you aren't limited to just calling other tango users. You can use it to call any number. I do have tango as well though.
