Just last week we shared that Google had dropped the price of the 8GB Nexus 4 smartphone in the Play Store to just $199.99. This is obviously an incredible price for an off-contract smart device, and it was probably designed to blow out their remaining inventory. That is exactly what happened as the device is no longer in stock on the Play Store. Furthermore, the word from Google is that it won't be coming back, so that is the "end of line" for the 8GB Nexus 4.

The 16GB version of the Nexus 4 is still in stock. It is selling for only $50 bucks more than the 8GB version was. At only $249.99, that is still a phenomenal deal. If you were contemplating getting either of these, you may want to jump on this one quickly because it will probably be gone soon too. All signs point to this being the harbinger of a new Nexus smartphone announcement very soon.
