7.1.1 Dev preview 2 is rolling out to those on the Beta program and have either a Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Pixel C, and Nexus 9. NPF26 can be installed via factory images and OTA (when the ota is made available.

We will be digging in to see if Google fixed the issues we have been having with the phone freezing and the poor battery life so stay tuned.

The link below is where you can get the factory images.

I'm convinced battery life is not going to improve for us. It's been bad since the 7.0 update and they have the Pixel phones now. I've accepted the fact that I got yet another device I thought was going to have good battery life, only to go to garbage after a major update.

Drop back to latest 6.0. I'm tempted.

Just had a random reboot.

Seriously, this is suppose to be the final dp before being released to the public?

Why do I feel like Google may be messing with the software on the Nexus to get people to buy the pixel?

Then again this is a developer preview, but if the issues with the dp translate to final build then I'm confident in saying that may be the case.

On top of poor battery life on the developer preview, I was getting poor Wi-Fi speeds again. About half of what it was on 7.0. I went back to the latest 7.0.

I'm only seeing faster battery drain. I updated to DP2 and lost mobile data. Icon showed LTE but signal checker said no service. Had to reboot.
