4g not working?

Recently I updated my phone with the update that got rid of free hotspot, and all that fun stuff, But since then I have not gotten 4G anywhere I should, or where I previously did, instead I get 3g but its written in a different font then before the update, is there any reason behind this, any help would be much appreciated
