Ive been getting a consistent signal this afternoon around the UCDavis medical center. Very odd, testing perhaps??. I can get a signal by the airport and in some parts of Natomas but that's it usually.
that's exciting for me to hear, I'm in Reno, and we're in the same rollout region according to the news report back in march that said we'd be getting it this year. I haven't seen any 4g over here in Reno yet, but I really haven't been paying attention to my signal today because i'm at work. I imagine we'll get switched on at the same time to buff up the vzw rollout news report. they love cramming a bunch of cities in the same press release.

My question is how many miles do the towers cover? I know I definitely won't get the sac signal from my house(even if I did have a 4g phone), but just curious.
So 4G has been on since this afternoon, and it looks like it's for good now!!! WHOOHOOOO!!!
SpeedTest has been inconsistent. I'm getting slightly below average speeds w/ the Modesto server, ridiculously fast speeds with the San Francisco servers, and speeds that seem just about right w/ San Jose, Palo Alto, and Mammoth Lakes. They've been averaging between 5-7Mbps down, 1.5-3.5Mbps up. That's a hell of a lot faster that my DSL (3 down, 512K up.) WIN!!! dancedroid
