4.2.2 Foxfi Workaround for non-root users

This workaround is for users who are not comfortable in rooting their phones.
Open Foxfi
click the option button on the bottom of the screen.
Click on hash-code
enter "entitlement=0" (without "")

set your ID and password, click start wifi
it will prompt you to start your phone's hotspot. click go to settings, start your hotspot and voila! Foxfi works!

This is confirmed on my unrooted droid mini, and have had no problems with connectivity.
however, with this hashcode, will not be able to use the "nolockscreen" hash.

Happy FoxFi-ing everyone.

Welcome to the site. Thanks for the tip for those who don't want to root their phones.

I have droid maxx and still cannot get foxfi working. I do have a foxfi key and the app says its activated. When I open the app, there is no menu or option available. I am unrooted with 4.2.2 and foxfi version 4.13.2

On some phones you may have to hit the menu button on the phone itself, it varies from phone to phone. My Bionic had menu (a four square box thing), home, back, and search. Usually whatever button you hit to bring up extra page options will bring up the menu in Foxfi.

Hmm.. Not seeing any kind of menu button. Your mini must be a little different than the maxx.
