Do you need to rename the file to update.zip?

So this file needs to go on the SD card correct?

do not touch the name. place on the external SD card and just choose it from the stock recovery.

Are you completely stock? Or do you have apps frozen/renamed/deleted? Did you change the name of the file? Let me in on everything you've done before attempting to install.

Same thing happened to me. Because I deleted Google chrome after rooting. You have to fast boot back to stock update to the 7.2 ota then go ahead and do the jelly bean leak.

I did not rename the file. The steps are from the first posting.

Copy over to the SD card then reboot into recovery. Then get error 7

I am still not sure if your current system is stock. Have you rooted what you are now and made any changes to the system?

Also, have you tried redownloading the file? Try downloading it from a different web browser.
