3g tracking?

If you do something bad such as hack an account over 3g how easy is it to be tracked back to you? is it even possible? What if you used wireless tether and used a computer is that impossible than? purely hypothetical btw

I'm sure they could still track the MAC address. Its harcoded into every device, like pcs and routers, but I really have no idea. Most people won't go through the trouble of tracing back, they will most likely take preventative measures for next time. Of course that does depend on who you are hacking. Lol
