3G Mobile Hotspot, works without buying the service???

Me and a friend was using the 3G hotspot on his Droid X and I have a Droid X2. But neither of us paid for the service. Hour are we able to use three hotspot without the paid service? Did Verizon make it free now??

I checked on the My Verizon app and it shows that the Hotspot option is optional. Like I haven't purchased it.

Didn't the Droid X2 receive the same 15 day free trial period of Mobile HotSpot like the TB and Charge?

On the Droid x you wil probably end up paying for it unless you did the hot spot hack which works really well actually

I never heard of this hack. But all I know is that I turned on my Mobile hotpot and it worked without it being added to my plan. It greyed out and everything.

"Worked" doesn't mean "not billed for". I suggest being careful until you verify with your next bill.
