Today my razr M, starting lagging very badly.. So i just tried to power it off and on. Still kept lagging throughout the evening.. As
the evening went on it got worse and worse, and then it would not respond at all, and started heating up like crazy.. Has anyone here had this type of
problem???

Try the RazrM version of the battery pull. Hold the power and volume down button at the same time for about 10 seconds. This will force your phone to reboot like you pulled the battery. May not help but it's worth a shot. Have you installed any new apps recently? That could be causing the problem too.

Had a friend call me and ask me about this just the other day. His M was heating up like crazy and eating up the battery fast. He powered on/off and all is OK now. Sounds like something is getting stuck running in the background. You can enter Safe Mode and run just the stock apps by doing this:
Hold power button like you are going to shut it down. When "Power off" comes up long hold on "power off" and then you will get instructions on how to go into Safe Mode(easy to get into and out of).
Also you can go to: Settings/ Apps/ All and see what is running and force close or disable them from there. But do that before rebooting or going into safe mode because they will stop whatever is running before you can see which app might be doing it.
Also make sure you get out of apps when you are done using them. Some can persist and run in the background.

In the morning, it seems to work again for a few minutes, then starting do that same thing once again.. I have not installed any new apps in over a month, plus
I kill all the apps running multiple times a day.. I never leave the gps or bluetooth on.. I think the phone is just shot.. I guess i have to go to the verizon store today.. Thanks for the replies!

Brought it into the verizon store, and the first thing they said, was "this is a known issue, with a certain batch that were made" with the batteries overheating and the phones freezing.. He did not even examine my phone and ordered me a new one right away to be overnighted to my home..
