2 random problems on my rooted droid

I have a rooted Droid 1 running RZ baseline 0.5. My phone was running this rom perfectly for about a month with no problems. Suddenly, a few days ago, my home key stopped working. It vibrates when I press it, but nothing happens. I thought maybe it was a rom problem so I went to download a new one, but my recovery told me "operation aborted". I tried two more roms and the same thing happened. I'm not sure if these problems are related, but I'm not sure what to do about it. Does anyone know how to fix these problems?

I just installed an old rom i already had on my sd card that i know works well. I wiped data and cache and the home key still isnt working so its not a rom problem.
