2.2 vibrate issue

Has anyone noticed that vibrate does not work for notifications when in vibrate/silent mode? The only way I can get it to work is turn on vibrate for my email, text, etc. It used to turn everything to vibrate prior to 2.2. Btw I have my sound setting turned to vibrate only in silent mode.

Went to the Verizon store...

You have to go to the App's specific settings. So for Text Messaging for example, open it up, press that "options button" (the one far left on your Droid X, I don't know the formal name), messaging settings, and then check vibrate. Changing your phone's setting through Settings>Sound is not enough.

I hope you read this before you reset your phone

If you check vibrate in text messaging settings it will make it vibrate at all times even if u have vibrate only in silent mode checked. When u turn ur phone in vibrate it should set all notifications to vibrate by itself which it does but it doesn't actually vibrate. Its a os bug they need to work out.
