2.2 froyo

I have an acer liquid e, it has the 2.1 eclair os, I updated to the 2.2, and now the acer website says I can update to froyo 2.2, but the phone will not accept the update, so my question is, is 2.2 and 2.2 froyo two different operating systems or are they the same, please help. Thanks

I installed the flash player from the market, are you saying that 2.2 froyo is only for rooted phones

2.2 is froyo. Froyo is the codename for 2.2

go to settings --> about phone --> and check your version, if it's 2.2 then you're good and have no need to worry about what it says on acer's website.

2.2.1 and 2.2.2 are both froyo, just for clarification

Thanks my phone does say 2.2 now, it is just the fact that the website says if you are 2.1 than you need to update twice so I keep thinking I can make my phone better if I can get this second update
