Verizon Preparing to Sell a 16GB Motorola XOOM with 4G LTE?

According to Verizon, a 16GB model could be in the works. And just like the 32GB Motorola XOOM that’s available now, will be upgradeable to 4G LTE in the near future if the screenshot above holds any weight.
Nothing on what pricing could end up at, but we have seen WiFi-only tablets with 16GB of storage fall in around the $400-$450 range. Could a 4G 16GB XOOM land on Verizon at $699 or even cheaper? We would have to wait and see!!!

Sad thing is, a reduction in 16GB is no wheres close to a huge reduction in cost of materials..

If the only change is hard drive size, one would assume a 16GB hd might be between $10-$20..

So to say it might drop pice $100 on this alone is crazy

While it does seem crazy, isn't that the price difference for the iPad between 16GB and 32GB?

That was not the case before the iPad2 came out. I know that at Sams Club that it was $488 for the 16GB and $588 for the 32GB.

Apple iPad lands at Sam's Club for $488

The iPad2 is $499 for the 16GB, $599 for the 32GB and $699 for the 64GB, the same prices as for the iPad before the iPad2 came out.
