As much as I believe in the 2012 stuff I don't really thing the world is going to end. The magnetic poles might shift but it won't be the end to man kind as we know it. I've been a believer for years but as it grows closer I think it will either be the economy that cloappses or a world war 3 that will kill off the human race.
Watch fox news for a day or so and then tell me you don't think the same thing. Stock market is dropping. Chemical weaponry is being use in the middle east(well about to be used) and the president of the united states is driving this country into the ground!!! The world might not end on exactly 12/21/12 but soon after maybe if things keep going the way they are!

I read something today that was interesting... the Mayan calendar didn't account for leap years... so if it was correct then then world would have ended about 7 months ago.

And the Maya calendar date people are referring to doesn't mean it's the end of the world. It refers to the end of a cycle of the calendar. Like a millennium passing is a form of measuring the passage of time in relation to other passages of time like centuries or decades. The long cycle of the Maya is a measurement not a prediction.

It wasn't just the Mayan calendar ending, Nostradamus' Book of Days goes blank after Dec 21, 2012.

Anyway.... this thread was to add a little lightness not to start a heated debate :big smile:
