With factory reset, is everything in internal memory lost.

I'm going to be doing a factory reset soon. Something has my battery life to almost nil. Deleting recent apps hasn't fixed it.

Why Android decided Jelly Bean shouldn't allow apps to use the SD card, I can't figure out. It should be an option. That complaint aside, I've been copying app settings backups to the external SD card. (Where would we be without file managers? That's another thing I don't understand about Android.) Am I incorrect in thinking this necessary?

Thank you all, so much.

Before going through an FDR, have you installed an app monitor such as Gsam Battery monitor to figure out the culprit?

I'm trying your recommended app, now. I've tried others, but I didn't learn anything. There are apps running that I don't think need to be. But, none of them are new, that haven't been on the phone for a long time.

How much RAM should be available? If that's too low, will I have battery issues?

I'll allow GSam to run for awhile, then I'll post a screen shot.

Thank you, again.

I noticed a significant battery drain with live wallpaper apps, just a thought.

I think I'll try replacing my live wallpaper. Thank you for that thought.

I had a killer lightning live wallpaper and it sucked my battery down, so no more live wallpapers for this guy.

Battery is still dying. Here is a screen shot:

I'm not sure why the SD card is using so much juice!

Thank you, all.

Clear cache and data for maps and uninstall updates for maps. I have fixed a lot of phone battery issues the last few weeks with this. Including my own.

I'll do that. I very recently updated maps. Maybe that's the problem. Thank you!
