How to get back to stock 2.2?

Im running rubix blurry 1.5.2 and I was wondering how to get back to stock 2.2 unrooted?

Can't you just apply the update.zip for 2.2?

Stock 2.2 unrooted would require you to use a backup you should've made right after you rooted, than you can just unroot and you're back to stock. The other option is to sbf using the proper sbf, that will take you back to stock

i restored to my first backup right after i rooted, it downloaded the update but while it was installing it stopped about half way. When i booted back up it said update failed. I've tried about ten times with the same result. Do i have to sbf?
