FaceBook stopped syncing

My facebook stopped sync-ing and I cannot press the blue F to gain access (though I can go through the red FB logo to the internet page).

When I go to Settings/Accounts & sync/ and F plus email under "manage accounts" the circle arrow is red. When I press that, the Sync Contacts has an exclamation point and a message at the bottom of my screen that reads: "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly" But it's been over a day.

Anyone have this problem and found a solution?

Here I am again answering my own question! I guess just writing inspired me as I continued to putter with it. I simply went to the Market to the Verizon downloads and re-downloaded the Facebook for Droid. It overwrote the old one. I had to re-do my password, etc. Then I went to the Accounts & Sync and simply started all over again there too. Very simple solution, but maybe will help someone else to not be afraid to try that.
