Email Vibrate Notification

Just received my new Note 2 a few days ago. I can't seem to get the email vibrate notification function to work although I have it enabled in the phone settings. I also have the hotmail app enabled for vibrate notification also. Am I missing something?

Love the phone though! Just hope it is me an not the phone having the vibrate notification issue.

Update..it seems the phone is vibrating, but much less than I am used to. I do have the vibrate intensity turned all the way up. Possibly the slim case is buffering a lot of the vibration.
