How do I turn off the annoying beep and screen?

What annoying beep? When does this happen? And what about the screen - is it annoying too?

Try resetting the phone. But like bbtkd said, what annoying beep is happening?

Turns out the phone was not accepting the charge from the battery...tried new battery didn't work now have new phone...doesn't drain battery as quickly. I think I had a lemon....att covered it under warranty
