Weirdest thing, I used to have angry birds and angry birds seasons on my phone. It had an update so I went to update it and it said update unsuccessful so ijust deleted it off my phone. Now I tried reinstalling it, except angry birds rio this time, and it said installtion unsuccessful. I tried it on my moms phone(she also has a droid 2) and it installed in hers fine. The app with install up to 100% and then fail. Also I did try deleting apps I don't use thinking maybe it was a memory space issue and that didn't do anything. Anyone else have this problem or have any suggestions as to why this might be happening

Yea I have the same exact problem although just to be clear this is only for the angry birds apps for me. I've heard few things about deleting a secret file by plugging it in your comp but I've heard they only work sometimes. So im not sure what to do about it yet. However I also heard that un mounting your sd card then installing it then re mounting the card works. But as for me I don't want to take any chances. So I guess you could just wait for an answer that's what im going to do

Same thing here

Not just angry birds but alot of my apps did this, then I un installed them and re installed and for most this worked, except angry birds and Grocery IQ. Now I will try the unmounting trick. I'll let you know if this works for me

unmounting worked for grocery IQ, no to try Angry birds, got to move it back to the phone first.

success. the unmounting works, but the bigger question is why is there the problem to begin with and is it going to be resolved?

The problem exists because some apps are written to install directly to the SD card if it's available, but the newest version of Android doesn't like this, and stops it. The solution is to unmount your SD card first. I doubt they'll fix this, but hopefully devs have stopped coding this way, so it shouldn't be a widespread error.

I took out my sd card and it installed!! Woooo, I've been trying to install this app like 4 times a day for the past 2 weeks. Finally! I haven't put my sd card back inyet but hopefully that doesnt mess anything up.

You don't need to hassle with removing the sd card. unmounting it works just fine.

Go to settings, then SD card & phone memory. In there is the option to unmount the card
