Amazon Has Released A Fire OS 5 Developer Preview

Taking a page from Google's book Amazon has just released a developer preview of their upcoming build Fire OS 5. The Fire OS is Android, but it looks nothing like Android in fact it is a heavily skinned, "forked", version of Android. Fire OS 5 will run on top of Android Lollipop. The developer preview gives developers a chance to try their apps on the upcoming version of Android and gives them the opportunity to make any necessary changes or fixes prior to the official launch. There is also an upgraded App Testing Service which allows developers to test their apps for compatibility without actually having to flash the new developer preview build.
