duplicate icons on droid

I am trying to clean up my duplicate icons on phone which are market applications as well as the standard contacts, car home, browser. I have tried placing them in the trash and result in more pages of duplications. Please help..

Are the duplications in your app drawer?

if you are rying to remove them from the app drawer you cant you can only remove them from the home screens

This has happened to me before, and I just rebooted to make them go away.

Rebooting fixed it for me too. You can remove them from the app drawer, just takes some doin. If you wanna know how, I can tell you, but there are quite a few steps.
