Decided to go to a custom ROM

Need suggestions for my first ROM for my A854 milestone CDMA

I mean I'm really kinda a noob with smartphones this is only my 2nd with the 1st being the same exact phone A854 milestone but the 1st one ended up bricked! It got stuck at the "m" logo so it was semi bricked and I had to get this one I was messing around with root tools when the other one hung at the boot I think I know where I messed up I don't think it would of took much to fix but oh well I wont make the same mistake again but I would love it if someone kinda walked me through putting this ROM on my device thanks in advance!
