Your issues with Droid phone?

Calls seems distant and can barely hear the other person

Phone will be plugged into the wall charger but won't always charge

When I go to call someone, the dialing feature won't activate

Screen times out after 15sec (I shouldn't HAVE to have screebl installed to make it stay on for 1min)

I've never experienced any of those issues with my DROID.

I'd suggest you visit your local Verizon store and have them examine your phone. It may be malfunctioning.

I was thinking about it but it's my 2nd droid (the other kept shutting off and cracking sound) and I honestly don't feel like going through customizing my phone again. These problems don't happen everyday so I can deal with it for now.

There is a screen time out option in settings.

I realize you might know about it already, talking about apps, but just in case you haven't it is there.

Menu > Settings > Sound and Display > Screen timeout(all the way at the bottom).

I do sometimes have issues with the call out/in features. Once I opened my keyboard right when I was getting an incoming call and my phone was vibrating and ringing, but it didn't display on my phone. After it was done ringing, I did get the missed call notification. Rather interesting but it was an isolated incident.

I noticed that when I have 'weak' coverage, IE my basement, calls do occasionally sound distant. But this also happened on my other phones, so I chalk it up to service issue.

You can change the screen timout setting without using Screebl. Go to menu > settings > sound & display > screen timout.

I have had no issues with the Droid and further it is my experience that those who do have problems have them because of bad apps that they installed and more frequently it is operator error.

I agree with you; 99% of problems are brought on because of user error.

I think user error should automatically cover someone who installed an app without looking up known issues with the app.

The great thing about Android market is that it's open source.
The worst thing about Android market is that it's open source.

Sometimes people just need to be more aware.

mine has a lot of issues too.
i'm on my second droid.. waiting on my third.
my second droid doesn't open the right program when i click on an icon.. freezes, turns off by itself, turns into silent mode by itself.. moves the icons around by itself (yes i do lock my phone).. i hate it. oh, and loose screen. to top it off, my school/fedex lost my package!

Does anyone know anything about this. My Droid has stopped being able to open Facebook links through my g-mail account. When I touch "follow link to profile" I just get a blank white screen. I used to be able to open Facebook links fine!

Please help!

-- Coverage issue probably - mine is so good that it sounds like a land line. But it could also be a speaker issue and if it happens everywhere you go exchange it. I had a clicking on my speaker and I did return it.

Phone will be plugged into the wall charger but won't always charge

-- Shouldn't happen. Unless you have a fault in your wiring in the wall... have you tried other walls?

When I go to call someone, the dialing feature won't activate

-- Never had that issue.

Screen times out after 15sec (I shouldn't HAVE to have screebl installed to make it stay on for 1min)

-- Simple - installing Screble automatically changed it to 15 seconds... change it back.

It's likely that your issues aren't with the Droid itself then. To troubleshoot, start looking at other common factors. Are you using some sort of case/skin with the Droid? How is your coverage when you have call audio quality issues?

When charging, are you getting a charge indicator when it doesn't charge? Or are you just noticing when you go to disconnect the Droid that the battery hasn't charged?

How exactly do you place calls? What is the sequence of steps and what exactly happens (or doesn't happen)? Are you using Google Voice?

What apps have you installed?

There are a number of factors that can cause the issues you're having. Without details it's difficult to help.

You really should post a new thread rather than threadjack.

I have not had many issues with my droid, thank God. The minor issues I had was because of an app, once I uninstalled the problems went away. I have also experience the time out but normally hitting the volume button wakes it up.
