wireless/wired tethering broken

sorry if this has been asked, i've been out of the droid modding game for a while. but i have a droid 1 with bugless beast 6.2.1 so i'm on 2.2.1. not sure why but the wireless tether app and the wired tether app won't work at all, it doesnt even try to use my 3g. i just cant even think of what else to try so any help would be appreciated. thank you!

You might try a different kernel. P3's kernels work well, but most all of them do now. Just try a different one.

Also, do you have the latest wifi app versions:
