wifes droid gen1 is slow to show texts

It seems when I text her sometimes it takes 5 to15 min to show up.
can I change a setting to refresh it? ? Like a mail service
Or is she stuck?

That seems way too long. I receive messages within seconds of transmission. What app is your wife using and how many text messages does she have stored?

Does it take that long to open her "Messaging" application, or does it just take that long to receive a text? Also, Is there another phone you can try to text her with?

She is using the stock app that came with her droid.
is there a better one she should be using?

Not sure if this will help but the wife and I use Handcent SMS and that seems to work fine.

I use Handcent and have no issues. Chomp is another text app. I'm not sure the app is the issue so if you install a new app please let us know the outcome.
