why is stock browser 15MB ??

Been using the stock browser for a little over a week and the data is up to 15MB... making the browser app huge... is this necessary? There's an option to clear data but you lose everything, including bookmarks...

I guess not "worried" ... but just wondering ... browser gets jammed up quicker now ... slows down, gets hung up on loading pages... gadda clear cache and force stop the browser and then its fine but its doing it every day now and i'm noticing its getting bigger and bigger without me really adding bookmarks or pages or passwords or whatever...

I used to have to clear the data on Droid 1 to clean the browser and make it work right again... and it would work proper and snappy for awhile.. like a week.. then it would bog down and get sluggish and hang up on stupid stuff...

I was hoping I wouldn't have to do that data clear any more

Based on this comment, I tried a bunch of browsers from the market... OperaMini, OperaMobile, DolphinMini, DolphinHD and a couple others...

Wow... I am now very happy with my stock browser...

I sould have realised this was gonna suck based on the comments left in the market on these browsers...
OperaMobile has the best feedback but right out of the gate I noticed that it doesn't have half the speed of the stock browser and uses old forms of webpages... Facebook looks like last year and functions terribly ...

Yeah, I like Dolphin HD. Can't really think of any complaints.

The browser application is most likely so high because of cache. Just clear browser cache and it should drop a good bit. I just cleared mine and it cleared over 5mb

I've tried numerous browsers and i always go back to the stock one. Not that all of the others are bad, i just don't like them as much.

Maybe because Flash in included now as part of it?

It has been proven that the stock browser is the fastest but not as full-featured as others.
