Why does my DROID censor web site text?

Last night when I was looking at a forum on my DROID, everytime the word ASS would appear in text, it was a blue box with a question mark (like pictures show up in the stock email app). At first I thought that perhaps the person used an emoticon that wasn't being displayed. But then I realized it would happen even if ASS appeared withing the word.

Someone referred to selling something in the cl?ifieds. clASSifieds.

I just checked the same page on my PC, and it just fine and normal text. WTF?

I cant say that I have ever come across that. It sounds more like something in the code of the site than a censor. Did you find it anywhere else or another site?

Its not doing it on my phone on this forum. That's weird. I guess its the site I was on.

We have a filter in our forum too, and this is a good place for me to remind everyone that this is a family friendly forum and even though we do have a censor, cursing/swearing/vulgar words are not acceptable. Even if the censor catches it you could get an infraction.
