who got the update and tried to root?

Were you 4ever rooted? Have you ever installed a leaked update?
I was rooted and OTA'd and now cannot re-root. I was pretty sure I was 4ever rooted...

If you've installed any leaked updates the 5.8.894 will fail every time.

No, I have not applied any leaked updates; just the ROM's. I will give it a whirl to see what happens!
I installed the update while rooted and lost root with titanium backup. Screen shot / root explorer still work. I tried to root again and it erros out. Attached is the error i receive.View attachment 43406
I geuss at this point I need to know if someone that installed the update non rooted can now root ????

Try http://www.droidforums.net/forum/dr...70-r3l3as3droot-43v3r-root-bionic-v2-1-a.html and see if that makes a difference. Says it'll work with .893 but I haven't received the OTA so I can't say honestly.

I got the update and not only will 43V3R not install but I am having trouble with superuser. damn 
I lost root after the update and found a work around for root. I went to the above mentioned website http://www.droidforums.net/forum/dr...70-r3l3as3droot-43v3r-root-bionic-v2-1-a.html and followed -Unbrick Bionic with OneClick Restore “R3l3As3Droot and 43V3R Root” 10/28/11.......

Built my phone back with titanium backup that I had
rebooted and Verizon pushed me the update a second time. YES I did nothing and the ota came back. (I may have checked for updates)
I downloaded and installed .893 ( it took forever to restart and install but eventually worked)
My previous issues with loss of root are gone because titanium BU is working and I no longer get error messages.
