What type of file do we download for movies?

Hi, I was just wondering what kind of files for movies do we download for our fascinates? I put on a mkv file type movie and it wouldnt play it :icon_evil: , is it mp4? divx? Can we play HD movies?

I think that our phones will play wmv and mp4 files. Don't quote me on it though. There are way smarter people here that can tell you for sure.
