What do you think about the new Google pay app

Mines is the same one I've always had. How did you get a new one?
In the play store their is an early access version or if you go in the old app it asks if you want to try the new one

I've had the new Pay app for months and it works fine for me, no issues.

But it seems like when you click things about paying besides social paying transfers it either open or looks like the old app
Can you remove the old app. The new app did not seem to replace or remove the old.
Will the old app eventually be removed from the device and or the play store when it goes out of early access?

I installed the new Google pay and it has both instances in the app store .reading articles it says that if you uninstall the old app it deletes your cards ? Doesn't sound right. Also the new app requires fingerprint to open when the old one just needed phone unlocked to use any way to make it work the old way. What is the correct way to remove old. I also read old goat way removed from play store.

After I wrote above I looked at play store I stalled apps it listed goat as old app and needed an update so I updated thinking maybe it would remove and switch to new spp6. It didn't. So I uninstalled and the new app still had my info. Going to try it at a store. Hope it works not a seem less upgrade.
I also turned on the Google pay rewards that tracks what you spend and gives you cash back offers. Not sure it's benifcial as you have to look through the offers and select them as opposed to it being automatic

Did you turn on the people option so you can share and receive money. Is there a way to not share all your social payment transactions like venmo gives a way to make default keep private and share if you choose public.. have tried it yet but it's not clear what it does if you turn on. Didn't turn in gps as I am not sure if it would start spamming adverts if your in stores. I also noticed it somehow picked up the correct zip code but matched it to wrong city even without gps.
Anyone have thoughts on this

I have earned $3.50 in rewards on google pay it shows available. It also shows my google pay balance as $4 which is weird like it rounded up. It gives the option to transfer it outi think to a bank account not sure . I can't find a way to spend it.
It also shows in google play as a payment option but says $3.59 balance not available.
So how do you spend or use the rewards ?
