We should be allowed to argue sometimes

Why can't we ever argue? I didn't think it was too bad. Yet.

The argument is old and has been discussed ad nauseam too many times to count. It is the same exact argument every time with the same people repeatedly arguing their case.... over and over and over again. Why do we need to go there again?

Nothing wrong with a good debate and debating is not why we ever close a thread. On several occasions we have opened a thread to encourage debating. The problem is when debating turns into arguing or yelling and screaming while plugging your ears. So here is what a poster should realize:

• You may or may not change a person's view and that is ok
• Is what I am posting going to add to this or is it just them wanting to shoot down other people at the expense of them feeling like their opinion is the only one that matters
• are you bring facts to support your debate or is it your opinion.
• is your response to further clarify your point or to call the person a (insert name) for disagreeing

Your second point is so phenomenal. Not only in just the forum but in life in general. If it's not going to contribute to the good then just keep it to yourself.

Now, after some thought, I feel the thread should be open. Keep in mind that we will allow healthy discussions. If there is any name calling, insults or reference to relegion or politics it will be shut down.

Looks like you missed my point.., We have no idea what you were going to post, but that does not change the decision to allow healthy discussions to continue. If you post was out of line, rest assured it would have been handled..
