Way to plug in Lat and Long into GPS?

Is there a free app or way to plug in GPS coordinates into the GPS on the Motorola Droid? If not, how would one go about requesting an app? Thanks ahead of time from a new user.

Just type the coordinates into the Maps app. Hit the magnifying glass search key (not the search that pops up when you hit the menu key), then type lat, long -- you probably need to use decimal coordinates.

I must be doing something wrong because it is not recognizing the coordinates I am punching in. What format are you using? Tried N XX:XX.XXX, W XXX:XX.XXX and XX-XX.XXX N, XXX-XX.XXX W with no luck.

Decimal seems worked just fine for me (as suggested already in this thread).
e.g -13.163056, -72.545556

Degrees, minutes and seconds work as well.
e.g. 13° 9′ 47″ S, 72° 32′ 44″ W

How exactly are you entering it into Google Maps?

The search via the menu key worked just fine for me.

Well when I pull up the maps it gives me the main map with my location. I hit the button that brings up the task bar with the magnifying glass (search), road sign (directions), layers, my location, etc. I hit the magnifying glass and it brings up the search box at the top. I plug in the lat/long as referenced in my earlier post and hit the magnifying glass to the side of the search box. Says "No results found for 30:17.45 n, 087:18.69 w"
