wallpaper trouble

so im trying to set new backgrounds but whenever i do apparently theyre too big because it cuts the bottom of them off. like ill have a picture of the beach but when i set it as the wallpaper it cuts off the sand and most of the water and just shows the sky, but i dont want to crop it at all
