Wallpaper dimensions?

What are the correct dimensions for an image I wish to use as wallpaper? I have a graphic I want to use, but it will only allow me to crop a small section of it.

i know the stock resolution is 480x854

I'll try it with resized wallpaper.

edit: No dice. I can still only select a portion of the image, which is then zoomed in on the home screen.

You need to hold and drag the crop box on a corner to make it bigger
