VLC 1.0.2 Streaming to Droid with VLCRemote app

Hi guys,

I'm trying to set up the latest version of VLC to stream over my network so that I can view it with the remote VLC viewing app VLCRemote.

I'm not too savvy with all this but I figured someone out there would be, and this would be a popular thing to do if we can get it rolling!


- Latest version of VLC
- VLCRemote for Android on google code (or search "vlcremote" on android market from your phone)


There is a guide linked from the google code page but it is inspecific.

Anyone know how to set this up?

Ah... it appears VLCRemote is just that - only a remote! hmmpf.

you will need to either know your home WAN ip address or use a DDNS service. Port forwarding will need to be set up as well.
