Video or Pics from Text Messaging

This has happened twice now, I received a video via text message and all I saw was the picture, but with no animation, but the time bar showed it was playing, and now I received a picture with a voice recording and all it did was play the recording but didn't show the picture. Any suggestions?

Having the same thing happening the videos will not play but you see the time bar moving. Can anyone help
