Vibrate for SMS

So I've got my notification ringtone set to the default "Droid" but I'd really like the phone to vibrate when I get a notification (without it having to be on vibrate mode) for say an SMS or email. Anyone figure this out?

press messages, then menu, then settings, and at the bottom it says vibrate also when notified..
