verizon tethering fees?

I know it cost money to use your phone as a mobile hot spot but, is there an app where you can do it for free cause i wantvto use

if you get caught which i known a few who have they will charge you for all that use and if not de-activate your account for "free" tethering.

but the last time i check it was $20 a month

I use the wireless tether app. However you have to watch how much data you use. Yes you have to be rooted to use it. I saw somewhere there is a hack for non rooted users.
