Usual Timeline Until Official Over The Air (OTA) 2.2 Update?

Usually, after unofficial releases, how long does Verizon take to do an over the air update? Also will there be easier ways to get the 2.2 on the Motorola Droid for Factory phones that are not Rooted? Something along the line of having a Update.Zip File and just simply running the file until it does all the work for you. Is it usually weeks, one month, two months?

we not sure when get official froyo 2.2 and I heard nothing news about froyo 2.2 for on Motorola Droid :/
