Hello! I will be eligible for an upgrade soon (looking at you, rooted Droid Bionic) and want to transfer some of my app data. I currently have an OG Droid, rooted.
I know when switching ROMs, many people recommend to wipe Data, and some recommend to not restore everything using TiB. But some things are important to me (like my text messages) and some are just convienient (like my settings in some apps, my Angry Birds scores, etc.)
I'm not sure how much 'data' is backed up by Google, and I think I probably shouldn't trust that.
Anyway, the question: is it reasonable 'safe' (not going to experience any weird OS errors, lag, or anything) to transfer my apps and their settings, and my text messages, from my old phone to a new one? Or is it a bad idea? Or maybe some apps, this works okay, and some they don't?
