Using Droid Global for navigation in Ireland

Am planning a driving trip in Ireland - can I use my Droid Global for navigation? If so, which app should I use?

google maps should be good, just make sure you get an unlimited data plan

The unlimited plan is hard to do unless you are on a corporate plan or are grandfathered in.

Look at some local SIMs (assuming your phone is unlocked). Vodafone Ireland offers free internet for 250MB every 30 days, which might be enough, but there are many other providers.

I actually have an unlimited data plan on my Droid...will that cover me for using Google maps while in Ireland?

Is your unlimited plan the standard smartphone data plan, $29.99 per month with Verizon? Then no, that only covers data in the US.

If you already have the unlimited international data (~$65 per month, no longer available to individuals) then yes, but you would probably already know that if you had it!
