[Release] Update to Baseband C_01.3E.03P - Android Forums
Found this posted in the Androidforums. Basically, with the new Baseband in 2.1, you can improve a few aspects of your phone.
Anyways, if you're phone has received the update, or you've manually updated it, follow the instructions in the link above.
I've just finished doing this, prior to changing my vocode, I had 3 bars and it kept switching between 3G and 1X.
As soon as the phone booted up after the change, I now have 4 complete bars, and have been in 3G mode for the past half hour.
