Update Root Superuser.apk

I recently just installed the custom rom rubix blurry 0.3 and everything is working great so far. Had a quick question. When I clicked on superuser, I got a message saying the file needed to be updated, specifically the binary. Does anyone know how I go about this process and what it means to upgrade the superuser.apk file?

Any help would be appreciated.

Also not sure if this helps but the current version of my superuser is V2.3.2.1

Open supeuser, click on settings, on the bottom, click on su binary. It should update the binary for you. Not sure if that is what needs to be updated, but hope it helps

After I installed rubix .3, the interface for the superuser permissions looks a little different. In the settings section, there isn't anything that says su binary.

It should be there, in the settings tab, on the bottom left. If your su icon is the android pirate with cross bones, then you can try going to market and getting the updated version. If it is still the ninja, download rom manager, enable advanced mode from settings, go to downloads, extras, and download the superuser for eclair/foyo. Allow that to install, and then go to market and download the even more updated version.

Exactly. Before I had the Ninja and after this change to the Rubix Rom I have a skull and crossbones. So I guess your saying I should download the updated superuser app from the market.

Edit: Worked! Thanks.

Yeah but the crossbones icon is a newer version of the ninja one. Going to the market will get you the latest version which is still the crossbones icon. It's just 2.3.6 vs 2.3.1

Weird. Did the update from Ninja icon to cross bones. It did a backup then rebooted and locked up. Did battery pull and everything seemed ok but then I lost root. Is that normal?
