Hey I need to take my phone into Verizon but need to get back to stock because currently i'm rooted. Can anyone point me to a tutorial that wipes your data, unroots your phone and puts it back to stock? I saw the sticky threads up top but didn't know if those tutorials will do everything im asking. I want to make sure Verizon cant tell that i've rooted my phone before.

Can you flash a stock SBF onto the phone? One-stop shopping.

Better way to phrase it -- care you capable of and familiar with flashing SBFs onto your phone?

I just want to make Is that the original sbf that verizon uses? Or is it a custom sbf? This will lose my root too correct?

That's why I said out-of-the-box stock. :) It's the latest available. If you really want to, you can try to manually install the 83D update over it. Just remember to do a factory reset before you boot into the OS the first time. SBF, catch the boot, let it PASS, then boot into recovery and factory reset. Then, if you want, install the 83D OTA update.

If you have rom manager you can download a stock image of frg01b un rooted and I believe it will then download the ota (maybe) which will make it completely stock again. Sorry if I'm wrong, just thinking this would be easier than messing with rsd.

But that process doesn't clean out everything. I've heard reports from some people that their VZW Reps have told them that after poking around in the software on the phone that they knew the phones had been rooted.

However, if you're familiar with RSD Lite and have used it successfully in the past, just flash the one file and you're done. :)

This is very helpful, but do you have a faster mirror for that 2.2 rom? it's very slow... thanks!
