Here's an interesting mystery for this Thursday morning. An odd Motorola smartphone just passed through the U.S. FCC. What is strange about it is that it can't be the Moto X+1 because it doesn't have an LTE modem. It includes GSM and HSPA frequencies, as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, and GPS.

More than likely this is some international device for emerging markets, and will be designed as a budget-friendly smartphone. The device is called the Motorola 4027, and its dimensions would indicate a size of about 5-inches diagonal. It's most notable feature is a removable battery, which isn't something we see to often anymore.

What do you think it could be?
