Uninstalling pre-installed apps

I have a Fascinate. How do I uninstall pre-installed apps such as Blockbuster. I drag it to the trash can but it reappears????

We need to know what kind of phone you have. You will probably have to root it or get a new launcher to hide some of those apps but without knowing which phone you have we can't get much more specific.
